THE INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY PARTNERSHIP (TISP)

The Infrastructure Security Partnership (TISP) was established following the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, as a national forum for public and private sector organizations to collaborate towards improved resilience of the nation's critical infrastructure against the adverse impacts of natural and man-made disasters through effective planning, design, construction, and operation.  Since its creation, membership has grown to more than 100 organizations and agencies representing more than 1.5 million individuals and firms.

Membership is currently open to all U.S. based local, state, and federal agencies, professional associations and industry trade groups, codes and standards organizations, universities, infrastructure developers, owners, operators, and service providers whose main purpose is related to the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the nation's critical infrastructure.

Additional Information about TISP is available at http://www.tisp.org

SOCIETY OF AMERICAN MILITARY ENGINEERS (SAME)

As one of the more than 190 TISP-member organizations, the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) is proud to serve as host of the 2007 TISP: 6th Annual TISP Congress.

Formed in 1920, SAME is the only professional engineering-related association in the United States that connects architects, engineers and builders in the public sector and private industry, uniting them to improve individual and collective capabilities so that we can prepare for – and overcome – natural and manmade disasters and acts of terrorism as well as to improve security at home and abroad.

You will find a member of SAME in most every state in the U.S. and in foreign countries where U.S. forces, Corps of Engineers personnel, NAVFAC offices, or private sector companies provide
support to our uniformed services. SAME members have diverse educational backgrounds, work
experiences and personal interests. This diversity—including many non-engineers—keeps SAME thriving.
